SatFinder is an innovative application designed to simplify the process of aligning satellite dishes and antennas, freeing users from the reliance on traditional compasses and manual calculations. With this tool, effortless establishment of a landmark is possible, either by utilizing your device’s map or by activating augmented reality (AR) through your camera. This feature may prove particularly advantageous for ensuring precise satellite signals.

The application boasts two distinct operational modes. In 'GPS-OFF' mode, it enables pre-installation planning, facilitating an express check of potential signal obstructions at a proposed setup location using satellite maps. Alternatively, 'GPS-ON' mode is tailored for real-time dish alignment. Users can select their target in a variety of ways, either by specifying a particular satellite from an extensive list or by setting a specific direction for point-to-point wireless communications.

The versatile tool also provides four different map types to suit individual preferences and includes an easy-to-find search function that allows for satellite identification by name or provider. Moreover, for those inclined towards traditional methods, magnetic azimuth information is displayed.

To utilize the game in 'GPS-OFF' mode, simply turn off your device's GPS, pick a satellite or set a direction, then mark your chosen dish setup location on the map. For aligning your dish in 'GPS-ON' mode, an internet connection and enabled phone's GPS are required. The system will then provide your location, direction indicators, and alignment parameters, all displayed on the map for precise setup.
